How these numbers are measured
Each Covert skin counts once, at its best wear: Factory New where it has one, otherwise the lowest-float wear it comes in. Market value multiplies each Covert skin's supply by its price. The Covert index follows Covert skin prices on BUFF, Youpin, CSFloat and Steam, weighting each item in its basket by price. It caps any one item at between 2.5% and 7.5% of the Covert basket, depending on how many items it holds, and rebuilds that basket every Monday. At 788.6 points on , it is 21% below its January 2024 start of 1000. All but 183 Covert skins have a price. The CS2 price API returns every Covert skin price on each marketplace in one request.
