Steam Community Market price API for Counter-Strike 2

cs2.sh powers developers, trading sites, and marketplaces with the most comprehensive real‑time and historical price data – so you can spend your time on what actually matters.

steam

The cs2.sh Steam API returns real-time Steam Community Market prices for every CS2 item: listing prices, buy orders, and full orderbook depth on /v1/prices/latest, collected every few minutes, in USD. Valve publishes no market API and rate-limits its undocumented endpoints; cs2.sh maintains the collection so you don't have to.

/v1/market/steam/latest returns full-depth bid and ask orderbooks for every item at once, data the Steam site only shows one item at a time. Steam doesn't distinguish Doppler phases or Case Hardened patterns, so per-variant pricing isn't available; use BUFF, Youpin, or CSFloat.

/v1/archive/steam covers Steam's native median sale price and volume daily since April 26th, 2013: 13 years of sale history, the oldest price series in CS2. /v1/market/steam/history records full-depth orderbook snapshots over time, and /v1/prices/history returns continuously updating OHLC candles at 5m/30m/1h/1d.

Every response is JSON keyed by the canonical market_hash_name, with updated_at and collected_at timestamps on every price. GET returns the whole market in one call; POST returns specific items. The same key and schema cover BUFF, Youpin, CSFloat, Skinport, and C5Game.

About the Steam Community Market: it is Valve's official marketplace, available within Steam for every player. It has the highest fees (15%) of any marketplace and does not allow withdrawals, so its prices typically sit ~20-30% above third-party platforms. There's no official market API, prices are localized by region, and the undocumented endpoints have rate limits too low for broad collection.

common questions

How often does cs2.sh update Steam Community Market prices?

cs2.sh collects Steam listing prices, buy orders, full orderbook depth, and native Steam market-history buckets every ~3-10 minutes depending on item liquidity, in USD.

How far back does Steam price history go?

Up to 13 years. cs2.sh exposes Steam's native sale history - median sale price and purchase volume daily since April 26th, 2013, and hourly since May 9th, 2026 - plus full-depth orderbook history since June 9th, 2026 and OHLC candles at 5m/30m/1h/1d since December 24th, 2025. No other CS2 marketplace's history reaches further back.

Does the Steam API cover Doppler and Case Hardened variants?

No. Steam's market listings don't distinguish Doppler phases or Case Hardened patterns, so cs2.sh does not provide per-variant Steam pricing. For Doppler, Gamma Doppler, and Case Hardened variant pricing, use BUFF, Youpin, or CSFloat.
