The cs2.sh Steam API provides the most complete Steam Community Market price data available. Real-time prices and buy orders, OHLC price history, 13 years of Steam's native sale history, the full-depth orderbook for every item, and Doppler ask prices. It returns ask, ask_volume, bid, and bid_volume for every CS2 item on /v1/prices/latest, collected every few minutes. Valve publishes no public market API and rate-limits its undocumented endpoints; cs2.sh maintains the collection so you don't have to.
/v1/prices/history returns continuously updating OHLC candles at 5m/30m/1h/1d since December 24th, 2025. /v1/archive/steam covers Steam's native median sale price and purchase volume daily since April 26th, 2013 and hourly since May 9th, 2026: 13 years of sale history, the oldest price series in CS2 and the same data as the price graph on a Steam Community Market item page. /v1/market/steam/history keeps full-depth orderbook snapshots at 1h/1d since June 9th, 2026.
/v1/market/steam/latest returns full-depth bid and ask ladders for every item in one response, data the Steam site shows one item at a time. Doppler and Gamma Doppler phases carry their own ask and ask_volume on /v1/prices/latest and /v1/prices/history since September 3rd, 2026. Steam buy orders, orderbooks, and sale history are per item, and Steam does not distinguish Case Hardened patterns.
Every response is JSON keyed by the canonical market_hash_name, with updated_at and collected_at timestamps on every price. GET returns the whole market in one call; POST returns specific items. The same key and schema cover BUFF, Youpin, CSFloat, Skinport, and C5Game.
About the Steam Community Market: it is Valve's official marketplace, available within Steam for every player. It has the highest fees (15%) of any marketplace and does not allow withdrawals, so its prices typically sit ~20-30% above third-party platforms. There's no official market API, prices are localized by region, and the undocumented endpoints have rate limits too low for broad collection.

Steam buy orders, orderbooks, and sale history are per item, and Steam does not distinguish Case Hardened patterns. For per-phase buy orders use BUFF, Youpin, or CSFloat; for Case Hardened tiers use BUFF, Skinport, or C5Game.
